What is your name? Do you prefer to go by a nickname?

Grace—no nickname.

What is your role and what are you responsible for doing?

Account Coordinator. I ensure projects get into the queue/get delivered to the client on time and I recently started working a lot more with social media planning and content development.

How do you describe what you do to friends and family?

The easiest way to describe (the majority of) what I do would be that I’m the middle-person between clients and the Creative team.

What’s been your favorite project to work on?

It’s a tie between the Color it Candy video shoots for SweetWorks and all of the ongoing social media generation for Sahlen Packing Co.. I like all the hands-on projects.

What do you listen to when you’re working?

Music usually. I listen to a lot of Indie/Folk/Indie Pop—John Vincent III, The 1975, The Backseat Lovers and Pale Waves are some of my favorite artists.

What was your first job? Did you like it?

I worked at a daycare. Sometimes it was a lot of work but I loved it. The kids were always saying funny things and I got to work with all ages.

How would you describe yourself?

Definitely quiet at first, but I open up the more I get to know people. I care a lot about my friends and family, and for fun I usually like going out and trying to find new things to do around town or doing random DIY crafts.

How would you describe Mirror Matter?

Mirror Matter is an advertising agency in Downtown Buffalo that does work for clients both regionally and nationwide. With the ability to do projects along the lines of website development, package design, branding and more, Mirror Matter is dedicated to making clients happy with the end product as well as the client relationships built along the way.

Apple or Android, and why?

Apple. It has a better aesthetic.

How did you get linked with Mirror Matter?

After three (very long) months of searching, applying and interviewing for a post-grad job, Mirror Matter popped up at the top of my LinkedIn as a suggestion. I applied right through there and once I got the job I moved from Rochester out to Buffalo.

What part of “agency life” do you like the most?

I like that I can work on a variety of projects with different clients ranging from auto shops to food and beverage producers. I’ve been able to learn a lot more about the advertising industry as a whole because I am exposed to so much versus just working with one company. I also like that since MM is a smaller environment, I can do things that are outside of my job description if I feel like I want to learn something new.

Ideal retirement plan?

Traveling. I’ve only been to Europe once and I’d love to go to a few different places there, there’s a lot of the world I haven’t seen yet.

Coffee, tea, or other?

Tea, or Chai Tea Latte.

What book, show, or podcast would you recommend to the world? Why?

Psych (TV show). It’s a perfect mix of crime drama and comedy, the characters are really like-able and the plot is always interesting. I’ve seen it all the way through a few times and I never get tired of it.

Winter, Spring, Summer, or Fall? Why?

Spring. The weather is the most bearable and I like a lot of my warm-weather outfits the best.

What are you looking forward to most about the next year?

Being able to do things again!! Hopefully, I’ll be able to go out with my friends and see some of my family that I haven’t seen in a long time. I also have a few trips I’ve been wanting to go on that I have been putting off.
